Curious about Working Equitation or looking for a fun way to expand your horse’s education?

This Intro to Working Equitation Clinic is designed to give riders and horses a positive, low-key introduction to the sport in a supportive learning environment.

No prior Working Equitation experience required, just bring an open mind and a sense of adventure!

Riders will work in small group sessions, allowing for individualized instruction while being introduced to many of the common obstacles found in Working Equitation competition. The focus will be on understanding how to ride the obstacles correctly, learning the rules and strategies behind each element, and developing confidence for both horse and rider.

Young or non-riding horses are welcome for inhand sessions.

This clinic emphasizes:

Introduction to standard Working Equitation obstacles

Clear explanation of rules, judging, and strategy

Thoughtful exposure to obstacles in a calm, confidence-building setting

A fun, relaxed atmosphere suitable for green horses or first-time riders

Whether you’re aiming to compete in the future or simply want to add variety and skill-building to your horse’s training, this clinic offers a great foundation while keeping the experience enjoyable and horse-friendly.

Lunch and refreshments included for riders.

Auditing is free and does not require registration. 90 minute sessions will run from 1 pm - 6:30 pm - indicate your time preference when signing up!

Riding well across country is not about speed—it is about pace, efficiency, and judgment. The ability to travel forward while maintaining balance, conserving your horse’s energy, and covering ground smoothly is a skill that defines experienced riders in the hunt field, at hunter paces, and on cross-country courses.

Ride the Pace is a four-session training series designed to help riders develop the feel and understanding needed to ride an efficient pace in open country. Drawing on principles used in steeplechase training and hunt field riding, this program focuses on developing a balanced, forward gallop while maintaining control, rhythm, and partnership with the horse.

Throughout the series riders will work on:
• Developing a balanced and sustainable open-country gallop
• Understanding the difference between pace and speed
• Learning to feel and maintain a consistent rhythm
• Adjusting stride and tempo while staying efficient
• Improving rider position for balance and conservation of energy
• Riding terrain and ground conditions with confidence

The goal of the series is to help riders develop the ability to ride with the pace of the country, rather than chasing it—allowing horse and rider to travel smoothly, efficiently, and confidently over ground.

This series is ideal for riders preparing for foxhunting, hunter paces, and lower-level eventing, and is designed for those who already ride forward but want to refine feel, pace judgment, and efficiency in open country.

Recommended for Starter, Beginner Novice, and Novice riders.

This series is made possible in part through support from the TEAPRO Grant, helping expand educational opportunities for riders in our community.
<rights type="text">Copyright 2026 Strider Pro</rights>

Spring Classic - Friday Ticketed Schooling (VA)

5/22/2026 - 5/22/2026 Beverly Equestrian, The Plains VA

Ahead of the Beverly Spring Classic, May 23–24, we’re offering Friday Ticketed Schooling on May 22 at Beverly Equestrian.

Please make any changes or cancellations no later than three days before the clinic. Cancellations after closing date will incur a $30 cancellation fee.

We will have groups ranging from a very green elementary group for those wanting to stick to small jumps, up to Preliminary. There will be 3 to 5 riders in each group (usually 4). Sessions will run about an hour and a half. Please plan to be warmed up ready to jump at your appointed time.
All clinics are designed to be inviting and user-friendly. We will keep things very basic and inviting for the greener horses, and will incorporate some more creative elements for the higher groups as appropriate. Exercises can be adjusted within a group for each horse as needed. Nobody has to jump anything they don't want to!

We do protect our footing, so in the case of wet or muddy ground, we will cancel the XC clinic and hold Show Jumping sessions in the indoor for those who wish to do so. If we cancel the XC due to weather, you will have a choice of jumping indoors, or getting a full refund.

Laura Graves Clinic (NJ)

5/27/2026 - 5/28/2026 Dressage Education Center, Whitehouse Station NJ

Learn from the only US rider to be Number 1 in the world. With over 20 years of experience, Kerstyn helps riders understand not just what to do—but why it works.

She has trained extensively with Amy Larson and Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel, serving as Felicitas’s assistant trainer for 2.5 years, and continues to collaborate with both on a regular basis. Kerstyn has competed and coached nationally, though her true passion lies in the process of developing both horse and rider.

Her approach focuses on:

Offering divisions from Leadline through Beginner Novice, these low-key evening events create a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a community gathering than a traditional show.

Courses are thoughtfully set below maximum specifications, with an emphasis on safety, rideability, and positive learning experiences. Inviting questions and straightforward lines allow horses and riders to progress at their own pace while building confidence and correct fundamentals.

This series also embraces a strong social and educational vibe. Trainers are encouraged to be hands-on throughout the evening—coaching from the sidelines, walking courses with riders, and offering support as needed. Friends, family, and barnmates are welcome to stay, cheer each other on, and enjoy a fun Friday night at the barn where learning, horsemanship, and camaraderie take center stage.
<rights type="text">Copyright 2026 Strider Pro</rights>

PVDA @ Windy Way Horses (MD)

6/13/2026 - 6/13/2026 Windy Way Horses, Hurlock MD

Potomac Valley Dressage Assoc. hosts over 15 schooling shows throughout the Maryland region. Join 5* Event Rider Booli Selmayr in Millbrook, NY for a dynamic eventing clinic designed for riders of all levels.

Booli’s background includes fox hunting and eventing with Golden’s Bridge Hounds Pony Club, international competition experience in Leicestershire, England, and years of producing top horses through her program, Fox Valley Sport Horses.

Session 2: Lightness, Balance & Pace to the Fence

This session builds directly on the foundation established in Session 1, bringing the focus from position development into riding at relative speed to the fences (aka steeplechase).

The goal of this two part program is to confidently transition into riding at a relative speed to fences—where pace, balance, and effectiveness come together to create a smooth, controlled, and forward ride.

Perfect for riders looking to build confidence, improve performance, and learn from a proven 5 competitor* in a supportive, professional environment!

The Pony Club Camp at the Hatley Ranch Pony Club Grounds just outside Deary, Idaho began in 1967, and is still running strong. Camp is open to any Pony Club member (Unrated (UR) through A). Campers must be 8 years of age*. Camp is considered a learning experience. It is a great opportunity to prepare for your next certification (rating) as there will be opportunities to work on Horse Management with feedback from instructors. Special topics will be presented depending on the general need of participants. Mounted lessons will be arranged based on camper numbers and level of riding skill as determined by the instructors. 2026 Instructors: Heidi Rebic, Ashley Nolting & Liz Tukey. *Please contact organizer if you have an age exception request.
Duration of camp:
Camp officially starts with check-in between 3-5pm Sunday, June 28th. Sunday dinner provided (Taco Bar) and an informational meeting, at 6pm, so please plan on getting your horse settled in before the meeting. Camp activity planned for Sunday evening. Dessert / S’mores each night prior to campfire and camp announcements. Mounted lessons will begin on Monday, June 29th. Camp ends Wednesday, July 1st.

General Camp Info & Chaperones:
Campers get mounted and unmounted lessons, stabling (for one horse – additional horses must pay for stabling), & T-shirt.
At this time, we are NOT planning on providing camp meals (except Sunday night). Please plan to bring your food, and we will update the website if food circumstances. Riders will participate in riding lessons on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. Some lessons may be private, but majority will be group lessons, depending on numbers. There will be unmounted lessons throughout camp, as well as campfire and skits! Each camper must have a chaperone on site at all times. Campers will receive additional information upon receipt of their registration if necessary. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and directed to your assigned stall. You may find a camping place near it. Once settled, please check in with the secretary.

2026 Camp Options:
Continuing the popular format, we offer three camp options for mounted lessons:

Option Red	Option White Option Blue
Option Red will be the “traditional” camp offering. Five mounted lessons, likely consisting of 2 flat, and 3 jump lessons. Private, semi-private, and group lessons will be utilized based on participants level and interest. Option White will be for participants not interested in jumping, and therefore will consist of flat lessons, in which at least one will include poles/cavaletti which is a great cross-training method. This option may include a trail ride as one of the lessons. English OR Western saddles! Option Blue will be used for riders and/or horses who may not be interested in quite so many concentrated lessons at camp. There will be 3 “traditional” lessons (flat & jumping), and the other 2 rides will be a trail ride or similar.

2026 Camp Shirts
Commemorative ‘Deary’ shirts are offered. T-shirts are included for the
participants, and additional t-shirts ($20), sweatshirts ($30), and hooded
sweatshirts ($40) may be purchased. Shirt sizes available to order:
Youth Medium (YM), Adult Small (AS), Adult Medium (AM),
Adult Large (AL), and Adult Extra Large (AXL).

Her mom had a lesson program in Kentucky, so as a young rider, she got exposed to anything and everything- from Polo to working at Churchill Downs and of course, eventing. When she was old enough, Hannah made her way to Karen and David O’Connor’s, where she was a working student and where she met her long-time sponsor, Ms. Jacqueline Mars.

Hannah has had an exciting career in eventing, including being a member of the 2011 Pan Am Gold Medal team, multiple trips overseas representing Team USA, plenty of 5* experiences, and a '24 third-place finish in the MARS Bromont CCI4*-L., '24 top ten finishes at Morven Park '24 CCI4*-L, 4th place Tryon '25 CCI4*-L, 4th place Bromont 25' CCI4*-S, '26 TerraNova CCI2*S, '26 TerraNova CCI3*S, and '26 Ocala International CCI2*L.

We will host a two-day clinic where you can choose from dressage, show jumping and/or XC rides. If you want to ride XC, you are required to ride show jumping the day before.

Friday Ticketed Schooling & Stabling Promo: We have 8 stalls in our shed row barn in between the two facilities. These are available on a first come first serve basis. Once these are taken, additional stalls are only available in our polo barns (by the Grand Prix arena) that have stall guards, not stall doors.

Also New for Summer 2026:

-You asked and we answered: there are now two (2) cross rail classes for the jumpers. Both will be optimum time classes but #52 will be cross rails only and #53 will have some low verticals.
-We still have two poles classes: #50 is a short poles course and #51 is a longer course but still poles.
-Note that all poles and cross rails classes will be in the Grand Prix ring and occur after the morning session but before the afternoon jumper session.
-Student Equitation consists of two (2) flat classes and one (1) over fences class. This is a different format than short stirrup and long stirrup and CANNOT be combined with either class. That means that if there is only one person in the class, we will still run the class but it will not count for points under the BHSA rules (BHSA only requires 2 riders for the class to count for points).
-There will no longer be optimum time classes (Table IV. 1) for morning jumpers. These will be either Table II.1, Table II(2)(b) or Table II(2)(d). Note that the USEF requires classes under .90m for child/adult amateurs to run under optimum time, but the local show will not follow this format for the jumper classes, which start at .80.

Other Updates:
-VHSA now recognizes 2’ classes and calls them "pre-novice." BHSA calls these classes "puddle jumpers."
-Jumper table II2c has been replaced with table II2d.
-Equitation classes that bridge hunters to jumpers, recognize hard-working riders (including those without their own horses), and reward skill, horsemanship, and character.
-Leaderboards recognize both MULTIPLE disciplines and MULTIPLE pathways within them: Introductory, Development, and Performance levels.
-Updated Finals eligibility will reward riders who stay local, show consistently, and build a season-long record at Beverly. We can’t wait to see you in the ring this winter and celebrate the journey we’re building together.

The Closing Date for all entries is midnight on the Thursday before the show (“Closing Date”). Attach your negative coggins and signed waiver ("Docs") electronically to your entry on Strider by the Closing Date; otherwise, an Admin Fee will apply. If you email your Docs to the show secretary to complete your entry before the Closing Date, an Admin Fee (for a non-Strider entry) will apply for non Strider entry information.

CHANGES. Changing classes on the day of the show incurs no change fees. DO NOT submit show-day class add/drops to the show secretary. If a class change results in a credit on the show day, it can be used towards other fees AT THAT SHOW. A same day show class credit does not result in a REFUND absent special circumstances, such as a class being canceled outside of show management’s control, and then, only upon email request to the show secretary at bevshowsec@gmail.com.

SCRATCHES. Entries must be scratched on Strider before the Closing Date to receive any refund. Any refunds after the Closing Date are subject to a $50 Admin Fee per entry.

CREDITS. Before or after Closing Date, to receive a credit in the full amount of your entry towards a future show, you must email the show secretary at bevshowsec@gmail.com before the show starts. (Note that this credit for entries is only available for 12 months following the original show date that the entry was submitted on Strider; it is not a rolling credit that can be moved to future Beverly shows indefinitely.) Keep proof of credit in order to send it to the show secretary at the time of intended future use for credit.
STRIDER allows payment by credit card, Venmo, and PayPal. Any additional class fees can be settled at the show by check, cash, Venmo, or Zelle on the show day. No credit cards are accepted at the show.

NON COMPETE HORSES. Noncompeting horses register as such on our Strider platform and pay the $40 non-compete horse fee. It is important that we have a release and a coggins on file for every horse on the property. Again, we appreciate your understanding as bio security and safety is our top concern.

Hitching Post Farm Junior Event Camp (VT)

7/13/2026 - 7/17/2026 HItching Post Farm, South Royalton VT

Junior Event Camp at Hitching Post Farm is for kids aged 8-18, with their own horses, who are either actively eventing or ready to begin eventing. Campers have the option to camp at our farm, under the guidance of knowledgeable and caring counselors.
HPF’s Junior Event Camp is designed to fully prepare each student to compete in the July schooling trial on the Saturday following camp. Campers will take part in 2 lessons per day in groups of no more than 5 riders. Although the Junior Event Camp has grown, there is still flexibility to work in groups as small as 2 or individually, if the need arises. We take pride in our ability to make each camper feel confident, prepared and challenged while maintaining a fun and friendly environment. Laurie Hudson, Taylor Faccio and Sally Scheindel teach cross-country, show jumping and dressage respectively and are accompanied by other instructors, including Lauren Mair, Janine McClain and surprise guests!

Each day campers are expected to take care of all aspects of their horses, as well as help and encourage other campers. We have counselors on the premises to help ensure that campers are happy and comfortable.

New this year: Please provide a letter of recommendation from your instructor letting us know about you, your horse and any information that will help us to help you. The instructor can email laurie@hitchingpostfarm.com directly or you can forward.

Junior Event Camp is $1200 which includes everything EXCEPT your horses feed/bedding & the Schooling Trial entry cost. Each student must enter the schooling trial BEFORE camp. Entries can be made on StriderPro.com. Link provided. Don't know what level to enter? That's fine, any changes can easily be made during camp.

Through in-hand work and progressive exercises, participants will explore how correct connection on the ground translates to harmony under saddle and lays the groundwork for advanced movements such as piaffe and passage.

This clinic is ideal for young or developing horses, nervous or sensitive horses, and owners seeking practical tools for handling, communication, and confidence in new environments. It is equally well-suited for horses ready to begin learning the concepts of piaffe and passage through correct, horse-first preparation. Brittany’s approach emphasizes clarity, trust, biomechanics, and relaxation meeting each horse where they are while building toward correct, sustainable development.
<rights type="text">Copyright 2026 Strider Pro</rights>

JR LandSafe Clinic- Enticement Stables (MD)

7/17/2026 - 7/18/2026 Enticement Stables, Harwood MD

Junior Clinic- Friday July 17th and Saturday July 18th 2026
