Who is Teaching: Dr. Marlo Egelston graduated from George Washington University and received her DVM from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
-NO drop offs. A designated parent/chaperone is required to stay on site with participant for the duration of the event.
-We will be using cadaver (actual dead) equine legs for the dissection so kids can experience real equine anatomy. If you feel this will be distressing to your child, then this event is not recommended for you to attend.
-We will be using actual medical/surgical equipment for the dissection, as well as for practicing joint injections of the leg. If you feel your child is not safe/appropriate to handle surgical scalpels or needles, then this event is not recommended for you to attend.
-Due to the nature of the material being covered in this clinic, it will require participants to listen carefully, and follow instructions closely. If you feel your child will find sitting still and following complex instructions closely a challenge, then this event is not recommended for you to attend.
-Any participant whom is not demonstrating the maturity required to safely participate in this clinic will be dismissed.
