Science of Motion is a new approach to training and therapy that is based upon identifying and correcting specific gait abnormalities inherent in each horse and equally important, adjusting the rider's posture and position. Jean Luc Cornille, Maitre (Master)from the Cadre Noir de Saumur "Trainer of Trainers", an international level Three-Day Event rider and trainer, has extensively studied equine anatomy and movement. His research has allowed him to develop a method that can be used to help the horse learn to move correctly and efficiently, resulting in lightness, self-carriage, and the ability to reach its full athletic potential without injury. Every horse moves differently. None move perfectly, especially with a rider on their back. Even minor defects in gait can eventually result in lameness or suboptimal performance. As with human athletes, careful analysis of how a horse moves and the use of an individualized training program can enhance performance.

Our clinic with Jean Luc Cornille is open to riders and auditors,
Date and Time- October 19 and 20. Rides start at 8:30 and will run until about 4:30 and include a hour break for lunch,
Cost- Please RSVP if you haven't already. Auditing is $35 per day or $50 for both days at the door.

Parking-Please use the entrance in front of the house. The gate will be open, so no code is needed. Please follow the signs for parking trailers and cars. Trailers park around the lower garage/apartment. Other vehicles will be directed to a lane between the paddocks past the arena.

Lunch- Feel free to bring a lunch or you may place an order at the nearby Locke Store. http://lockestore.com/ If you preorder and prepay by Friday April 26, we will have a volunteer pick up lunches for us. Please ask for Casey at the Locke Store when you place your order and reference the clinic so that she can organize our pick up. 540-837-1275. Make sure you indicate if your lunch is for Saturday, Sunday or both. Light refreshments and coffee will be available at the clinic.
