Come practice your test in a low key show-like atmosphere at HITS and get feedback before heading to your next dressage show or event! Fiber /sand footing in HITS dressage rings and warm-up. Signage will direct you to trailer parking, number pick-up, and arenas at HITS after entering via Hwy 27 through main entrance.

TESTS WILL BE OFFERED IN BOTH LARGE (Standard) 20 x 60 COURT AND SMALL 20 x40 DRESSAGE ARENAS.

All levels, USEF/USEA/USDF/WDAA tests are welcome.

$35 for your first test, $25 for each additional test. $10 fee if you would like to schedule the SPECIFIC HOUR you wish to ride your test(s) - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED! If we cannot fill your time request, we will refund the $10 fee up until closing date.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LIST THE TEST(s) YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR and THE HOUR YOU ARE REQUESTING FOR RIDE TIMES IN THE NOTES SECTION OF YOUR ENTRY FORM. We will email confirmation for your time request within 24 hours of submitting your entry.

Dressage tests $35 each and Fix-a-Test rounds are $50 each.
The earlier one signs up, the more likely that preferred time slots are still open.

Fix-a-Test also offered! Like a mini dressage lesson--you will perform your test and then get feedback from judge, work on problem areas and ride test again, if desired. Limited spots available - large or small ring .

RIBBONS: For this show, riders will be pinned using the Danish system.
Tests scoring:
70% or higher get a blue ribbon
66%-69.999% get a red ribbon
62%-65.999% get a yellow ribbon
57%-61.999% get a white ribbon
52%-56.999 get a pink ribbon
This method rewards the rider's hard work and individual accomplishments without the stress of head-to-head competition.

***Remember that you "own" your ride slot. If you're not able to come you're responsible for either filling the slot or paying for it.***

Scores will be posted on the website. TESTS AND RIBBONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE BARNSTAPLE SOUTH BLUE OFFICE TRAILER LOCATED AT PROPERTY ENTRANCE 1 HOUR AFTER YOUR LAST SCHEDULED RIDE TIME.

Once a class is full or if you are a late entry, we are happy to wait list your entry if / until a scratch occurs OR schedule you for the end of the day’s rides in your requested arena.

XC schooling will also be available at a discounted rate of $40 for anyone who is entered for July 17 Dressage tests. You are welcome to hack to XC from HITS (5-7 min) OR to load up and move to the shaded parking area at Barnstaple after you ride dressage - wash racks and water will be available at both locations!

XC courses will be flagged, maps will be posted on FB by Thursday noon. Flagged XC course will also be open for schooling on Friday and Sunday. $40 per horse if you are entered in show and pay for schooling anytime Friday - Sunday with your entry; otherwise, standard $50 schooling fee applies if you choose to pay the day of schooling.
