Anna Merritt is a successful FEI dressage rider based out of Ocala, Florida. She is committed to carefully and correctly producing horses from youngsters to Grand Prix.

In 2014, Anna began her professional career as the Assistant Trainer to USDF Gold Medalist Erin Brinkman at Valhalla Farm in North Florida. For the next 3 years under Erin’s tutelage, she gained invaluable experience starting young horses, working with “problem horses”, preparing horses for sale, and developing horses through to FEI with classical principles. In 2017, Anna was given the opportunity to work under International Grand Prix rider Bärbel Eppinger at her farm in Germany. During her three month stay with Bärbel, Anna further expanded her knowledge and skill of producing horses for top level in the sport of dressage through to Grand Prix. In 2018 upon returning to the US, Anna made the move to Ocala, FL to operate her own training and sales business out of Follow the Sun Equestrian Center where she has produced multiple horses to FEI. She continues her education with Herwig Radnetter, Bärbel Eppinger, Anna Marek, and Laura Graves.

Anna has an impressive string of horses she currently competes, including a handful of horses she has developed to FEI levels on her own. She has helped multiple riders achieve their USDF medals and enjoys teaching riders at all levels.
