Sharon White - Cross-Country - OTTB Foundational Clinic
Event Details
This eventing clinic is designed to build confidence for both OTTB and rider alike in the Cross-Country phase format. Sharon White is offering four clinic sessions (Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and Modified level). With both level-specific requirements and OTTB psychology in mind, this clinic aims to build a stronger foundation for the future success of each unique partnership.
Meet the Clinician! - Sharon White
International CCI5* three-day eventing rider, trainer, and Level 4 USEA ICP Certified Instructor
With over 25 years of experience as a professional equestrian, Sharon is a well-respected and dedicated horsewoman who always puts the horses first. Based at Last Frontier Farm in Summit Point, West Virginia, Sharon’s brilliant career includes over 10 visits to the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event with five different horses. She has also traveled overseas to contest CCI5* events. Sharon has represented the United States in FEI Eventing Nations Cup competitions and was a reserve rider for the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games. She is also a USDF Silver Medalist and has competed in pure show jumping.
OTTB ReStart Clinic Series at Great Meadow
The goal of the program is to showcase best practices in Thoroughbred retraining and highlight the versatility of these horses across disciplines. This clinic focuses on developing OTTBs from foundational work through the demands of a horse show environment. Under professional instruction, riders and their horses will learn through the lens of a top-level professional, with an emphasis on understanding and navigating the unique complexities of working with OTTBs.
This clinic is supported by a grant through the Virginia Horse Industry Board.
