Event Details
Join us for a Derby Cross! Riders begin with a show jumping course on arena footing, then trot out of the arena to complete a short cross country loop of inviting fences on the grass! Multiple jump options will provide a positive experience for riders new to cross country. Scoring is based on an optimum time/jump fault system, and divisions will be pinned through 6th place. Repeat rounds are permitted, but only first rounds will be pinned.
Introductory: fences no higher than 18”, optimum time appropriate for trotting.
Elementary: fences no higher than 2’, optimum time appropriate for a mix of trot and canter.
Beginner Novice: fences no higher than 2’6”, optimum time appropriate for a canter.
$45 first round, $30 second round, with a $10 non-refundable office fee. No refunds after closing date. Change of horse or rider permitted with a $15 change fee. Changes after closing are at the discretion of the organizer.
Please submit complete entries with liability waiver and coggins. Entries are limited, so enter early!
Organizer Notes
Ride times will be emailed Friday before the show. No additions on the day of the show. The derby will start at Introductory at 9am and work upward to allow move-up rounds.
