VADA Nova Dressage Schooling Show

Show with VADA/Nova in the high quality footing of the Morven Park International Equestrian Center's indoor arena! Peggy Pariso(r) will be the judge for this one day schooling show. This is a great way to prepare for the upcoming show season. We hope you will join us!

All entrants must check "Show Ring/Day Facility fee" in order to include a $25 fee for being on the show grounds. Those who wish to reserve a day stall should also check "Day Stall" to pay an additional $20 for the stall.

Non-members must check "Non-Member Per Test Fee". This fee is $10 per test. Each entry will be compared to the membership database and membership will be verified. ANY NON-MEMBER ENTRANT WHO ATTEMPTS TO OMIT THE NON-MEMBER PER TEST FEE WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $45 (THE COST OF ONE NON-MEMBER TEST), PAYABLE TO THE SHOW SECRETARY, PRIOR TO BEING ALLOWED TO RIDE ON THE SHOW GROUNDS.

All tests will be ridden in a standard dressage arena (20m x 60m). Musical freestyles will be combined into a single Test of Choice (TOC) class even though the test checkboxes on the entry form indicate the exact level of the freestyle ride.

Para equestrian riders should select the "Para TOC" checkbox and specify the test that will be ridden.

If an entrant wishes to ride hors concours (HC) in VADA/Nova's "Relaxed Rules" Program, he/she should select the "Rider Choice" checkbox and specify the test to be ridden, as well as whether the preferred Relaxed Rules option is "Coaching Option", "Posting Option", or "Combination Option".

Finally, all non-compete horses must be pre-approved by Show Management prior to the show.

We look forward to seeing everyone! Thank you for your entry!

Organizer Notes

VADA/Nova Show Rules
Compliance with the following rules is MANDATORY. Violation of these rules may result in action being taken by the Show Manager and the VADA/Nova Board of Directors.

🔹All VADA/Nova schooling shows are run under the dressage rules of USEF unless otherwise specified.
🔹Approved protective headgear must be worn whenever mounted; other USEF attire rules for dressage are optional.
🔹Any horse (including non-competing horses) entering the show grounds for any purpose during a show must submit a current, valid, negative Coggins test to the Show Secretary either with the entry or via hand-carry on the day of the show.
🔹All horses must wear a bridle number on the show grounds, without exception. This applies to non-competing horses as well as those that are competing.
🔹Anyone riding on the show grounds for any purpose at a VADA/Nova event must report such activity to the Show Secretary and sign a VADA/Nova release form before mounting a horse.
🔹Dogs at VADA/Nova schooling shows hosted at Morven Park MUST be LEASHED.
🔹Riders should check their scores before leaving the show grounds. Any scoring errors must be reported and corrected before a rider departs.

🚫Running martingales, bandages, boots, and side reins may be used in warm-up arenas but must be removed before entering the competition arena.
🚫Fly masks, martingales, bearing or running reins, seat covers, and any form of blinkers are forbidden at VADA/Nova schooling shows.
🚫Bareback riding is not permitted.
🚫A rider should not be judged by anyone who has instructed him/her within the last 30 days. If a rider arrives at the show and finds that his/her instructor has been substituted for the judge, that rider must notify the Show Manager and ask to ride hors concours (HC) or request a full credit for entry fees.
🚫 Lunging is prohibited in the warm-up area. The Show Manager can indicate the areas where lunging is permitted on the show grounds.

Non-Compete Horses
The following policy will apply to non-compete horses present on the show grounds of a VADA/Nova managed schooling show. This policy is implemented for the safety of competitors and for VADA/Nova’s insurance coverage. Note that this does not apply to horses boarded at the show facility.

Riders seeking to bring a non-competing horse to the show grounds must:
🔹Register with the Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. Please note Show Management has the authority to deny a request to bring a non-competing horse onto the show grounds if show conditions warrant.
🔹Submit a current, valid, negative Coggins test for the horse.
🔹Submit a signed liability release form.
🔹Pay the non-compete fee.
🔹Pay the Morven Park grounds fee.
🔹Ensure the horse wears an assigned bridle number.

Refunds
🔹Entry fee refunds will be given in full for scratches prior to the closing date. NO refunds will be given for scratches after the closing date.
🔹The processing/handling fee associated with an entry is always non-refundable.

How many tests can I ride or can the horse perform?
🔹Riders are limited to four rides per show unless the show is undersubscribed. Please contact the Show Secretary to place additional riders/horses on a wait list pending close of entries.
🔹Horses competing at Introductory and Training Level may enter a maximum of four (4) tests at each show across all riders.
🔹Horses competing First Level through Grand Prix may enter a maximum of three (3) tests at each show across all riders.
