Join Martin Douzant for a jump chute clinic at Loch Moy Farm on September 12th focused on free jumping, in-hand work and other training skills.

Martin Douzant is a popular young horse trainer that works extensively with event and jump horses. When he is not training or competing young horses, he is routinely found at the USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) Championships as the designated jump chute horse handler. Based out of Brook Hill Farm in Middleburg, Virginia, Martin has a positive teaching style and has extensive experience with green horses and riders. This is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best in the sport!

Using a jump chute is the ideal introduction to jumping for young horses, OTTB's coming off the track, or to work through issues with experienced jumpers.
All you need to bring is your horse in a halter (or bridle if you prefer) and your phone/camera to get great pictures and video.

Martin's approach emphasizes a clear and consistent framework for young horse development ground in the European method. Originally from France, he has earned France’s official BEES First Degree certification, the essential French riding instructor certification.

“When you watch horses free jump and do gymnastics you see that each has their own style… they prepare their balance in their own way. The goal of a jump chute is to guide horses is learning how to use their bodies...and enable them to progress mentally and physically in a positive way."
