Join us at Waredaca on July 25, 2023 for a jump clinic with Olympic Equestrian, 5* Eventer & Trainer Lauren Nicholson!
Lauren will be at Waredaca to deliver outstanding instruction on: 🗓 May 30 &July 25, 2023
This is the perfect opportunity to learn from a top three-day event rider who has proven herself both an accomplished equestrian and a wonderful teacher as well.
As an experienced equestrian who's ridden at the top levels of the sport, Lauren is highly regarded for her ability to teach others. Lauren represented Team USA at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, at the 2022 and 2018 World Equestrian Games, and the 2015 Pan American Games. She is based out of the Plains VA, where she routinely teaches a variety of eventers from lower levels to experienced professionals.
Sign up for one or all of Lauren Nicholson's Expert Days via STRIDER! Riders may focus on either Show Jumping or Cross Country (weather permitting.)

2.)ATTACH your Coggins + Waredaca waiver to online STRIDER entry.
Specify your desired discipline & schooling level -INTRO, BN, N, T, P, I in your note to organizer.
3.) 💳 PAY the FULL AMOUNT required online via Strider.
You need to pay the Expert Day Fee and select ONE of our two facility fees when you enter:
➜🚚Trailer ins: Add the $20.00 Non-Boarder Facility Fee to your entry
➜Waredaca Boarders: Add the $10 Boarder Facility fee to your entry
The $5 Office/Admin Fee is mandatory for all entries and will automatically add. This covers our staff's time in coordinating & organizing the Expert Day.
RIDE GROUPS WILL ONLY BE ASSIGNED IF YOU PROPERLY SELECT & PAY FACILITY FEE IN ADVANCE.

Each successful Waredaca clinic entry will see a STRIDER confirmation # on screen & receive an emailed receipt from STRIDER.

Waredaca is a full service equestrian facility located in the Laytonsville area of northern Montgomery County, Maryland (outside of Washington, DC. Our facility features excellent outdoor jumps, arenas, a spacious indoor arena, and a well regarded cross country course.

About Lauren Nicholson:
In her competitive accolades, Nicholson has had numerous top finishes at the five-star level, including finishing in the top ten with Landmark’s Monte Carlo at the inaugural Maryland 5 Star CCI5* in 2021.
With Vermiculus, Nicholson finished in the top ten in the CCI5* events at Kentucky in 2018 and 2019, Burghley in 2019, and at Lumühlen in 2022.
With Veronica, she was in second place overall and as the highest-placed U.S. athlete at the Kentucky Three-Day Event in 2014 and 2016 won the title of USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Champion. The pair also had top-ten finishes at the CCI5*-L level at Pau in 2014 and in Badminton in 2018.

Organizer Notes
🕐 Small groups up to 6 will be scheduled; lesson time will be adjusted for group size.
Specify your schooling level -INTRO, BN, N, T, P, I in note to organizer.
✔️ All paperwork (reg form and waiver-only ONE per YEAR required) and fees MUST be completed in advance.
Attach signed Expert Day release to your STRIDER registration!
✔️ Proceed to the Indoor Arena area to meet your group and Expert a few minutes before your scheduled start time.
CANCELLATION POLICY: All Expert Day fees are non-refundable. You are purchasing a time slot which is paid for in advance.
If you are unable to use this space, you are responsible for finding another rider to fill it. A waiting list will be maintained for unforeseen circumstances, but there is no guarantee.
WHAT ELSE:
✔️ For Cross Country sessions, protective vests and medical arm band required.
✔️ Dress appropriately and comfortably.
✔️ We have a soda machine. No food available for purchase.
✔️ Auditors FREE and are always welcome to come watch, assist the Experts with jump crew and embrace all the information being shared. Simply come and go as your day allows.
🚸 Auditors: There is NO vehicle permitted on course so plan to wear comfortable walking shoes :)
Winter clinics will likely be in the indoor.

Administrative Information
Ride Time: Ride times will be emailed to you prior to clinic once entries have closed.
Trailer Direction: Please use our WEST ENTRANCE GPS: 4017 Damascus Road Laytonsville MD 20882;
if heading west from the Sunshine intersection of 97/Damascus Rd you'll drive past the corner parking field and Waredaca Main Entrance and turn into our West Entrance just before the sharp bend in the road. Continue thru the automatic gate, then turn left and park in the gravel area when the road widens.
