Racine County Pony Club Hunter Pace

A 'Hunter Pace' simulates a normal hunting pace, some walking, some trotting and some cantering, as you would during the course of an actual hunt, bearing strictly in mind the safety of both rider and horse.
COURSES: Non Jump or Jump (fences not to exceed 2’9”). Course maps will be distributed the day of event. Most, but not all jumps have ride arounds. If you choose non jump, there are still jumps that can be jumped or all can be ridden around.
TEAMS: 2–4 members. ORGANIZE YOUR OWN TEAMS. Please indicate on your entry who your team members are and select jump or non jump. TEAMS LARGER THAN 4 WILL BE SPLIT.
TIMES: NO SET ORDER OF GO - TEAMS SENT OUT AT A SAFE INTERVAL AS THEY ARE READY
ATTIRE: Boots and helmets required. English and western riders are welcome.
AWARDS: First thru Sixth place ribbons awarded in each division.
FOOD: Delicious hot food, snacks and drinks will be available in the meeting room.
TACK SALE: In the meeting room - Lots of great bargains
***AWARDS ARE GIVEN AFTER THE LAST TEAM HAS RETURNED AND SCORES ARE TABULATED. PLEASE PLAN ON SPENDING THE DAY OR RETURNING FOR THE AWARDS***
Excessive speed, running up on or through other groups is forbidden. Common sense riding and courtesy to others in the field is expected. This is NOT a speed event and the fastest time DOES NOT win. All ride times in each division are averaged, and the fastest and slowest time in each are eliminated and not included in the average. Many, but not all jumps have ride-arounds. If you part of your group wants to jump, you can sign-up for non-jump and still get some jumping in.
All riders invited to participate. Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian/chaperone to the event. Children must have trail riding/riding 'in the open' experience. Non-riders please join us to watch, shop our tacks sale and have lunch!
YOU ARE RIDING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND ONLY GIVEN PERMISSION FOR THIS OCCASION. YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO RIDE THE PROPERTIES BEFORE OR AFTER THE EVENT.
PLEASE RETURN ENTRIES BY SEPTEMBER 5, 2025 for early bird rate of $30.00 per rider, $40.00 per rider Sept 6 thru Oct. 3, $50.00 per rider day of event
