NOVAWE Working Equitation Clinic with Stephanie Jennings

This clinic is organized and offered by Northern Virginia Working Equitation (NOVAWE), an Affiliate Organization of USA Working Equitation (USAWE) and will focus on Working Equitation (WE) obstacles as well as flat work exercises to improve execution of obstacles.

Three sessions will be offered: Newbie, Intro, & Novice
1) NEWBIE: 8:30 - 12:00: For riders that have never attended a WE Clinic. Riders will report to the Indoor with horses in hand (rope halter and lead) to introduce your horse to the obstacles and the garrocha pole.
2) INTRO: 1:00 - 2:30 - For riders who have some experience--All walk and trot
3) NOVICE: 2:45-4:15 - For riders who have experience - All walk, trot, and canter

Group sizes:
NEWBIE- No more than 5 riders
INTRO- No more than 4 riders
NOVICE- No more than 4 riders

Clinician: Stephanie Jennings
Stephanie became involved with Working Equitation in 2019 and has been ranked in the top two regionally and nationally in Levels 2 and 4. With her new horse Huno she plans to continue moving up the levels.

Horses have been the center of Stephanie’s life since she was a small child. She has competed successfully at a national level and her awards include 1987 NRHA World Champion Limited Non Pro Reiner, 3-time Champion Amateur Working Hunter at All American Quarter Horse Congress; and 3rd place finish in Amateur Hunter Hack at the AQHA World Championship Show. In 2025 she was AQHA National Reserve High Point in 2nd Level Western Dressage. Stephanie and her husband Mike hold clinics and give lessons from their farm in Round Hill, Virginia.

Other Requirements:
1) Negative Coggins within one year of clinic date.
2) Frying Pan Park Liability Release
3) NOVAWE Liability Release (All NOVAWE Members signed this document when you joined.)
4) All riders must wear an approved helmet when mounted.


Refund Policy:
All processing fees are included in the clinic price.
Refunds may be granted if the organizer is notified by email on or before 8 pm on August 6, 2026. There is a $15 refund fee policy to cover the admin costs in processing refunds.

Auditors are welcome at no charge.

If you see "WAITLIST", then that means that all of the allocated slots have been taken. Please email Mills Smith at novawe.msmith@gmail.com to be added on the Wait List. If you can't upload the releases and Coggins, please email those to Mills.

Administrative Information

  • Ride Time Ride times will be emailed by Friday, August 7, 2026.
  • Trailer Direction Follow your GPS to the address of Frying Pan Farm Park. Trailer parking is available in the lot adjacent to the indoor or park in the lower gravel lot. Do not park in the car parking lot.
    Please bring your own water & hay for your horse. Please clean up around your trailer and take manure/hay home with you.

    Facility Notes:
    Restroom is inside the main building, the Indoor.
    No dogs, please.
    Horses will enter the Indoor on the far side, next to the small warm up arena.
    No schooling of any cross country obstacles allowed unless you pay a x-c schooling fee to Frying Pan.
