
Clinic for Advanced Equine Bodywork for Owners and CE

Over 5 days you will learn the foundational skills to enhance your care for your horses.
Learn how to assess and manage your horse's health, identify and address potential issues that could lead to injuries, poor performance, behavioral issues and more.
At the end of the training, you will feel confident in assessing, communicating with clients, vets, farriers and other care team providers as well as confidently perform beyond a basic massage and have the tools to continue to practice on your own horses OR continue on to become a certified professional in our 6 month course. (This is an exciting and never-ending journey.)
Each participant receives a booklet with guidelines and a “starting” point for equine bodywork including much of the information below.
• Massage modalities, techniques and applications
• Safety, Legalities, Ethics
• Terminology
• Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system
overview and identification of major muscles and muscle groups / feel of muscles / what they are
made of / how they work
• The other body systems and their relationship to bodywork
• Conformation vs. Postural faults
• Assessment and FEEL
how do you feel, what are you feeling and why is it important, what do you do with it
• Biomechanics – overview – how it’s all connected.
• Learning the 5 basic massage strokes
• Performing a basic massage
• Effectively combining modalities
• Pathology - Common Illnesses, Wounds and Injuries
• Contraindications
You will be working on horses every day. Please wear proper footwear and clothing you can move freely in.
