BIOMECHANICS OF THE HORSE AS AN ATHLETE
Join top veterinarian, author, dressage and equine biomechanics expert Dr. Gerd Heuschmann from May 17-19, 2024, at the beautiful Leatherdale Equine Center - University of Minnesota.
World renowned veterinarian, Bereiter (master trainer), and author Dr. Gerd Heuschmann will present a one day riding clinic on Friday, May 17th followed by a two-day symposium on the Biomechanics of the Equine Athlete on May 18-19. Dr. Heuschmann was based at the Warendorf Veterinary Clinic associated with the German National Riding School. He has an extensive background as a treating veterinarian in the Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing and as a riding trainer who applies a thorough understanding of the biomechanics of movement on the development of our equine athletes. A respected international lecturer, Dr. Heuschmann educates equestrians on how to make the sport of riding better for the horse.
The clinic day on Friday will be presented in a private lesson format.
The symposium days on Saturday & Sunday will include lecture and demonstration riders. You are encouraged to attend both days as different material will be covered, and there will be different horse/rider combinations each day - including classical dressage and Western dressage riders. Clinic Day: Friday, May 17th from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (registration opens at 7:45 a.m.)
Symposium Day: Saturday, May 18th from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (registration opens at 8:00 a.m.)

If traveling from out of state, health papers are also required.
