This clinic is organized and offered by Northern Virginia Working Equitation (NOVAWE), an Affiliate Organization of USA Working Equitation and focuses on Working Equitation (WE) obstacles as well as flat work exercises to improve execution.

About Doreen Atkinson:
Doreen Atkinson is a Senior Judge for USA Working Equitation. She has been involved and competing in WE for many years. Doreen served on the national board and chaired the Licensed Officials Committee for 3 years. She is currently an At-Large Director on the USAWE Board. Competitively, she is a Masters’ level rider and has earned her Platinum Medal in WE, the Bronze and Silver Medals in USDF, and won several Regional and National Championships in dressage, western dressage and competitive trail competitions. Doreen finds WE to be an excellent combination of horse sports that is exciting, rewarding and challenging for both horse and rider. She travels all over North America to conduct clinics and judge WE Events.
ABOUT THE CLINIC:
-Four 1 hour 50 min sessions each day.
-There will be two groups of 4 riders and two groups of 3 riders. (Total riders each day = 14)
-Riders will be organized by ability levels when possible. Please indicate what WE Level you consider yourself in the NOTE TO ORGANIZER BOX. (Intro, Novice A, Novice B, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, etc.)
-This clinic is designed for those riders familiar with Working Equitation obstacles.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION:
UPDATE AS OF 3/17/22: Those riders who signed up for the Tuesday session may now sign up for a Wednesday session. There are only a few slots left.
This clinic will be great practice to refine your skills before the USAWE Licensed Show in Maryland on April 30th.
NOVAWE members can audit for free. Anyone riding in the clinic can have 1 groom/helper audit for free.
If there are openings after the Closing Day, riders may enter with a $10 late fee. Contact Biddie Lowry at novawe.blowry@gmail.com to request a spot after the Closing Day.
Organizer Notes
REFUND POLICY: Clinic fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Once the clinic fee is paid, you own your spot. If you cannot attend you are responsible for finding someone to fill your space, and while I will do my best to help, this is the rider's responsibility. If a replacement rider cannot be found, no refund will be made.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-Upload current Coggins and releases to this site or email copies to Biddie Lowry.
-All out-of-state horses must show a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection Certificate to the check in office before unloading your horse.
-Please indicate what WE Level you consider yourself in the NOTE TO ORGANIZER BOX. (Intro, Novice A, Novice B, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, etc.)
If space is available AFTER THE CLOSING DAY, you can sign up for a clinic spot, but must include a $10 late fee. Contact Biddie Lowry.

Administrative Information
Ride Time: Session times will be emailed to participants 5 days before the event.
Trailer Direction: Follow GPS to Frying Pan Farm Park Equestrian Center, not to the Visitor's Center.
