NOVAWE Working Equitation Clinic with Stephanie Jennings

This clinic is organized and offered by Northern Virginia Working Equitation (NOVAWE), an Affiliate Organization of USA Working Equitation and focuses on Working Equitation (WE) obstacles as well as flat work exercises to improve execution.

Clinician STEPHANIE JENNINGS:
Horses have been the center of Stephanie’s life since she was a small child. As a youth she participated in both 4-H and pony club and has ridden and competed successfully in many disciplines and events. She competed successfully at a national level, and her awards include 1987 NRHA World Champion Limited Non Pro Reiner, Champion Amateur Working Hunter at All American Quarter Horse Congress 3 times, and 3rd place finish in Amateur Hunter Hack at the AQHA World Championship Show. 

She has also competed in Dressage, Combined Training, USEF and AQHA All Around classes which include western pleasure, western riding, horsemanship and equitation. 

In 2018, she became involved in Working Equitation and is the 2021 2nd place rider in the Open Level 4 USAWE national rankings. She regularly teaches WE lessons with Tri State Riding Club and co-taught the very popular NOVAWE Movin’ On Up clinic last October.

With her husband Mike, Stephanie currently co-manages Professional Horse Services, an online auction service used to market and sell horses. She and Mike also hold clinics and give private lessons from their farm in Round Hill, Virginia.

ABOUT THE CLINIC:
-Four 1.5 hour group sessions, starting at 9:30.
-Each group will have no more than 4 riders.
-Riders organized into Newbie, Intro, and Novice groups.
-Be sure to indicate which group you want to sign up for in the NOTE TO ORGANIZER BOX!

Session Description:
-NEWBIE: This group is for riders/horses that have never done Working Equitation (WE) obstacles before. All work done in walk and trot.

-INTRO: This group is for riders/horses that have some experience with the WE obstacles. Work will be done in walk and trot. Riders generally attend at least one Newbie clinic before signing up for an Intro group.

-NOVICE: This group is for riders/horses that have experience with the WE obstacles. Work will be done at walk, trot, and canter.

-Auditors are welcome (no charge).

If you see "WAITLIST", then that means that all of the allocated slots have been taken. Please email Biddie Lowry to be put on the Wait List along with the name of the group that you want to be in (Newbie, Intro, or Novice)

Be sure to type the name of the level you are requesting in the NOTE TO ORGANIZER Box.

No refunds after Closing Day of 3/15/22.

Please email Biddie Lowry your current Coggins or upload your horse's current Coggins (within one year of clinic date) to this site. You can upload the other signed releases or email them to Biddie Lowry.

Administrative Information

  • Ride Time: Your group session time will be emailed 4 to 5 days prior to the event.
  • Trailer Direction: Follow GPS to Almeda Farm.
    Trailer Parking will be in the field by the outdoor arena.
    Please plan on a 5 to 10 minute walk from the trailers to the Indoor.
