Join Rutledge Farm for a high-performance Eventing Clinic with PanAm Games Gold Medalist and Olympian, Boyd Martin in Middleburg, Virginia, August 10, 2019!

CLINIC FORMAT:

This 1-Day Clinic will offer the following 75 minute training sessions; limited to 4-6 riders.

NOTE THAT THE ADVANCED, INTERMEDIATE, and PRELIMINARY are combined into one section.

1. Advanced, Intermediate, & Preliminary (8:30 - 9:45) -FULL Email Organizer For Waitlist

2. Training (10:15 - 11:30)- FULL Email Organizer For Waitlist

3. Novice (12:00 - 1:15) -2 Spots Left

4. BN/N (2:45 - 4:00) - 3 Spots Left

5. Beginner Novice (4:30 - 5:45) FULL Email Organizer for Waitlist

Sessions will begin with 15-20 min of flatwork focused on adjustability for over-fences work. Riders will move from there to over-fences work in the arena (or grass) with heights and questions appropriate to all levels; eventually incorporating related jumping lines. The sessions will culminate with some competition-style questions and XC lines, though these exercises will be done predominately in an arena setting. If decision is made to move part of the clinic to grass, riders will be notified.

This 1-Day Clinic is part of the Rutledge Farm Sessions International Champions clinic series.

The first session will start on-time. The remaining sessions could each start a little bit earlier or a little bit later.

Please make sure to arrive with enough time to get settled and be ready for your class.

FACILITIES - If the weather is good, then the clinic will be in Rutledge Farm's outdoor arena (250' x 150') (or the grass), in case of inclement weather, then the clinic will be in Rutledge's indoor arena (218' x 80'). The indoor and outdoor arenas have Attwood Equestrian's cutting-edge, all-weather footing.

STABLING - If you need stabling, then contact us, and we'll be happy to try to help you out. We might even have stalls available, for a fee.

REGISTER FOR THE APPROPRIATE SESSION - Riders should have experience at the levels for which they are registering. Note that we might combine sections, depending upon registration numbers.

RIDERS - please understand that this clinic is exclusive and limited. If you are not able to ride, for some reason or other, then please make sure to find someone to fill your spot. Contact us (540-687-3030) for approval of the rider. No substitutions will be permitted within 72 hours of the clinic. A wait-list will be maintained, and group sizes are subject to change contingent upon registrations.

Each rider is allowed to bring one auditor, for no charge.

RELEASES - Releases are mandatory, for all riders. Please upload a signed Rutledge Farm, LLC release, and valid Coggins via the “Upload Documents” button. Releases are tailored for Adults and Minors. Please use the appropriate release.

HOW TO PAY - All Riders and Auditors must pre-pay, via Event Clinics. Once you've paid and we receive payment confirmation, then your space is booked. Until then, it is still available for anyone to book.

Note: We love dogs, and even still, no dogs will be allowed, so please leave your little friends at home.

Organizer Notes

There will be no refunds for no-shows or for anyone who has to cancel. If a rider needs to cancel, once the rider has already paid, then the rider should find another rider to take their place. Please notify us if this is the case, so that we can process the substitution. Substitutions will incur a $50 administrative fee.

  • Trailer Direction: FROM DULLES AIRPORT: ​
    Travel Rte. 50 West (John Mosby Highway, Lee Jackson Memorial Highway), towards Winchester, Virginia.
    Continue through the village of Aldie, Virginia.
    Approximately 2 miles, before Middleburg, Virginia, turn right on Rte. 627 (Carters Farm Lane).
    Travel about a mile, until you pass Oakham Rd., on your right.
    Immediately past Oakham Rd., on the right, you will see a horse farm with black 4-board fencing. This is Rutledge Farm.
    Continue on Carters Farm Lane, past the first two gates, on the right. The third gate, on the right, is the main entrance to Rutledge FarmFROM MIDDLEBURG, VA: ​
    Travel east, on Rte. 50 (John Mosby Highway, Lee Jackson Memorial Highway), towards Washington, DC.
    Approximately 2 miles, outside of Middleburg, turn left on Rte. 627 (Carters Farm Lane).
    Travel about a mile, until you pass Oakham Rd., on your right.
    Immediately past Oakham Rd., on the right, you will see a horse farm with black 4-board fencing. This is Rutledge Farm.
